Ethnographic Museum
The South Tyrolean Ethnographic Museum is an open-air museum whose two dozen original buildings vividly show visitors how people used to live here. The manor house contains household equipment which bears witness to folk art and religion. A wide variety of tools and other items reflect the farmer's way of life. The highlight of the museum is no doubt the old buildings in the open - air exhibition grounds. They are complete with kitchens, parlours, bedrooms, barns, and mills.
The visitor experiences more than just visual impressions here; the sounds of the mill wheel creaking and water splashing can be heard, and the fragrance of fenced - in farm gardens appeals to the sense of smell.
